Almost the entire amount will go to the Central Election Commission

To hold the national referendum on March 15, 20.78 billion tenge will be allocated from the government reserve. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance.

Almost the entire amount — 20.65 billion tenge — will go to the Central Election Commission. The largest share, 15.69 billion tenge (about 75%), will be allocated to pay the work of 71,000 commission members across the country. The remaining 4.96 billion tenge will be spent on organizational matters: printing ballots, conducting the information campaign, and equipping polling stations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will receive an additional 123.6 million tenge — these funds are needed to operate 80 polling stations abroad in 62 countries.

On March 15, more than 12 million people will be able to go to the polls to vote for or against the draft of the new Constitution.
