106 violations of the referendum law detected in Kazakhstan

Including 24 committed by users of online platforms

During the preparation period for the national referendum in Kazakhstan, 106 violations of legislation were identified. This was announced by Vice Minister of Culture and Information Kanat ISKAKOV at a meeting of the Central Referendum Commission, reports Kazinform.

– During the monitoring process, 26 violations of the legislation were identified. Of these, 24 were committed by users of online platforms, and 2 – by users of internet platforms, – said Kanat Iskakov.

All identified violations were related to the conduct of a public opinion survey.

The Vice Minister also addressed representatives of the media.

– As of today, we have violations regarding compliance with this requirement – conducting surveys. This information has been forwarded to the Prosecutor General’s Office. At the same time, during campaigning on online platforms, 54 violations of the legislation were identified. The information has been sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, – he added.
