In Tashkent and the Tashkent region, a technology for artificial precipitation will be introduced to improve air quality, Kazinform reports.
According to a decree by the President of Uzbekistan on improving air quality, the implementation of artificial rain technology will be carried out in stages, taking into account international experience.
Thus, by October 1, 2027, the necessary equipment for artificial precipitation will be installed in areas with low humidity in Tashkent and the Tashkent region.
The goal of the project is to increase precipitation volumes by 10–20% compared to natural levels.
The use of artificial precipitation technology helps reduce the concentration of dust particles and pollutants in the air, providing a short-term improvement in air quality.
In addition, the initiative is expected to significantly help increase ambient humidity levels during periods of drought and hot weather.
Funding for these measures will be provided through the State Target Fund designated for addressing nationwide environmental issues.
