The Kazakh diaspora living in Iran is fully integrated into Iranian society

The Iranian authorities have not received any requests from their citizens, including ethnic Kazakhs, regarding relocation to Kazakhstan. This was stated by Iran’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Ali Akbar JOWKAR, at a press conference, Kazinform reports.

The diplomat noted that the authorities do not expect a mass departure of Iranians of Kazakh origin to Kazakhstan.

– The Kazakh diaspora living in Iran is fully integrated into Iranian society and does not separate itself from the citizens of Iran. Even during difficult periods, for example about 40 years ago during the aggression of Saddam’s regime, the Kazakh diaspora stood together with Iranians and defended their country. Therefore, so far we have not had any cases of appeals from Iranian citizens, including members of the Kazakh diaspora, about emigration to Kazakhstan, he said.

According to him, the appeals are mostly of a domestic nature and are related to issues of interaction between citizens of the two countries.

– There have only been cases of everyday inquiries, when citizens of Kazakhstan want to be present in Iran for certain matters, or Iranians in Kazakhstan, and this is a normal practice. In such situations, both the Kazakh and Iranian sides provide every possible assistance, Ali Akbar Jowkar explained.
