Efforts to return Kazakh citizens from the Middle East conflict zone are ongoing

The evacuation of citizens of Kazakhstan from the area of escalating tensions in the Middle East continues, Kazinform reports, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, together with relevant authorities, continues efforts to bring our citizens home from the Middle East conflict zone.

Since the start of the evacuation, more than 7,300 Kazakh citizens have been returned home, with the assistance of both resident and non-resident airlines.

In addition to flights, citizens are also being evacuated by land through the borders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkmenistan.

Kazakhstan’s diplomatic missions in the region continue to coordinate operations on the ground and maintain constant communication with our compatriots.

Earlier, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry recommended refraining from all travel to the Middle East and published a list of countries. It was also reported that tourists from Kazakhstan traveling to the Middle East after February 28 will be excluded from the travel guarantee system.
