When Wi-Fi Will Appear on Board Kazakh Aircraft

This is expected to happen by the end of this year or early next year

Kazakh airlines plan to introduce onboard internet by the end of 2026. This was announced by Vice Minister of Transport Talgat LASTAEV on the sidelines of the Senate, Kazinform reports.

First of all, internet access is planned to be installed on new aircraft — Boeing 787 Dreamliners, deliveries of which are expected as early as this year.

— It is assumed that they will be equipped with onboard internet first; the relevant work is already underway. Taking this into account, I can assume that this will happen by the end of this year or at the beginning of next year, he said.

The Vice Minister clarified that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner family of long-haul aircraft will operate both international and domestic flights.

According to him, the work is being carried out jointly with the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development.

It should be recalled that in November 2025, Air Astana announced the signing of a contract with Boeing for the delivery of up to 15 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner long-haul aircraft.
