What Will Be Considered LGBT Propaganda in Kazakhstan

Today, members of the Mazhilis adopted a draft law banning the promotion of pedophilia and non-traditional sexual orientation

Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Yevgeny KOCHETOV explained the amendments related to the ban on LGBT propaganda, reports a Kazinform correspondent.

He noted that the matter concerns the educational influence on minors.

“We see it this way: these norms will protect young Kazakhstanis and teenagers from the propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations and pedophilia. The point is solely to prohibit the imposition of this ideology with a positive public evaluation on our children,” – explained Yevgeny Kochetov in the Mazhilis corridors.

It should be noted that today, the deputies of the Mazhilis passed, in the second reading, a bill prohibiting the dissemination in public spaces of information containing propaganda of pedophilia and non-traditional sexual orientation.
