“Kazakhstan’s Monica Bellucci” Retires from Service

Lieutenant Colonel of Police Leila Saidova was honored at the Mangystau Region Police Department

In the Mangystau Region, law enforcement officers who dedicated many years to service were ceremonially seen off into retirement. Special attention during the event was focused on Lieutenant Colonel of Police Leila SAIDOVA, who had previously been dubbed “Kazakhstan’s Monica Bellucci” on social media, BAQ.KZ reports.

The ceremony took place at the Administrative Police Department of the regional Police Department. The staff expressed gratitude to the veterans for their many years of service and their contribution to public safety.

Among those retiring were Police Colonels Askar DZHAILAUBAEV and Yerlan KEZBAYEV. However, the central figure of the event was Leila Saidova, a senior inspector of the Administrative Police Department headquarters, who devoted 18 years to service.

The officer unexpectedly became a social media figure following a conflict with a visitor at a police station. Users noted her composure, calmness, and professionalism. In the comments, she was called an “iron lady” and compared to Italian actress Monica BELLUCCI.

Saidova herself admitted at the time that she does not seek attention and finds sudden popularity difficult.

“I am not a conflict-prone person. Such situations are temporary. The main thing is not to attach importance to minor issues,” she said.

Behind her composure lies years of service experience and strong inner discipline. The lieutenant colonel noted that working in the police requires not only responsibility but also psychological resilience.

“Of course, there were times when I wanted to quit everything. I think every officer faces this. But it is important to remain calm and do your job,” she emphasized.

Colleagues describe Leila Saidova as a principled and fair officer with a strong character. Over the years, she has made a significant contribution to maintaining law and order in the region and has earned respect both among colleagues and the public.

At the end of the ceremony, the veterans were thanked for their service and wished good health, family well-being, and success in their new stage of life.
