Kazakhstan rises 10 spots in the World Happiness Ranking

The ranking takes into account factors such as income level, life expectancy, social support, and freedom of choice

In the 2025 World Happiness Report, Kazakhstan ranked 33rd among 147 countries, jumping 10 positions compared to last year, reports Kazinform.

According to the report, the life satisfaction score in Kazakhstan was 6.633 points, an increase of 0.962.

By individual indicators, Kazakhstan showed the following results: it ranked 4th in social support, 29th in generosity, and 29th in the share of donations.

Kazakhstan became the leader among Central Asian and CIS countries, surpassing all nations in the region in the overall ranking.

Following Kazakhstan in the ranking were Romania (34th), France (35th), Singapore (36th), El Salvador (37th), Italy (38th), Panama (39th), Kuwait (40th), and Spain (41st).

For the ninth consecutive year, Finland holds the first place (7.764). The top three are rounded out by Iceland (7.540) and Denmark (7.539). Next follow Costa Rica, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Israel, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.

Overall, the ranking takes into account factors such as income level, life expectancy, social support, freedom of choice, generosity, and perception of corruption.
