By the end of 2025, the fleet of Kazakh airlines is planned to increase to 118 aircraft, Kazinform reports, citing the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Two new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft have been added to the fleet of SCAT Airlines. The planes have already started operating regular flights on the Shymkent — Astana — Shymkent route.

The Civil Aviation Committee noted that the addition of two new aircraft to the fleet of a domestic airline is a significant event for Kazakhstan’s aviation industry and confirms the active development of the country’s aviation market.

According to the committee, the total number of aircraft operated by Kazakh airlines is expected to reach 118 by the end of 2025.

“The Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues its systematic work to expand the fleets of Kazakh airlines in order to improve the accessibility of air travel, expand route networks, strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic aviation market, and ensure a high level of safety and passenger service quality,” the committee concluded.
