Astana to Host Global CS2 Tournament

The competition will take place from May 15 to 17, 2026, at Barys Arena

For the second year in a row, Astana will host the international PGL Astana tournament for Counter-Strike 2.

The event will run from May 15 to 17, 2026, at Barys Arena.

The prize pool amounts to $1.6 million.

Sixteen world-class teams will compete for victory, including Team Spirit, G2 Esports, FURIA Esports, and Heroic. The organizer is PGL Esports SRL, one of the largest esports tournament operators in the world.

Famous players and streamers are expected to participate, including Dauren KYSTAUBAYEV, Daniil GOLUBENKO, Slava Buster, James BANKS, and Gabriel TOLEDO.

In 2025, the tournament in Astana attracted around 20,000 spectators, with a total economic impact of $11.6 million.
