By the end of 2026, the country’s gasification level is planned to reach 64.3%

Currently, about 13 million people in Kazakhstan have access to natural gas, Kazinform reports citing the Ministry of Energy.

By the end of 2026, the gasification level is expected to reach 64.3%, which is higher than last year’s figure (62.4%). This year, 40 gasification projects are being implemented across the country. As a result, more than 32,000 people in 10 settlements will gain access to natural gas.

The projects cover the regions of Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Mangystau, and Turkestan, as well as the Ulytau and Zhetysu regions.

Construction of the first stage of the second line of the “Beineu – Bozoi – Shymkent” main gas pipeline is ongoing. By the end of this year, the construction of the linear section of the pipeline, with a capacity of up to 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year, is expected to be completed.
