A 16-year-old Kazakh footballer has become the champion of Belgium

The player has been part of the youth system of the Belgian club since July 2025

Kazakh footballer Shakhmurat DAULETOV, playing for the U-18 team of KRC Genk, secured the Belgian championship title in his age category ahead of schedule, Kazinform reports.

In the latest round, Genk’s youth team drew 3–3 with Royal Charleroi SC U-18 and clinched the title with two rounds remaining in the season. After this match, the team reached 47 points, while their closest pursuer, Standard Liège, trails by 10 points.

The league leaders will play their next match on April 25 against the youth team of Zulte Waregem.

Shakhmurat Dauletov plays as a right winger in Genk’s academy. In the 2025–2026 season, he became one of the key players in the championship-winning U-18 squad, scoring in important matches against KVC Westerlo, Roda JC Kerkrade, and Royal Antwerp FC.

The footballer has been part of the Belgian club’s youth system since July 2025. During the championship season, he played 17 matches and scored four goals. In addition, last year Dauletov made his debut in the UEFA Youth League for Genk U-19 in a match against HJK Helsinki, which ended 2–2, coming on as a substitute in the 74th minute.
