Kazakhstan and Russia Strengthen Cooperation in the Energy Sector

Joint projects demonstrate sustainable practical implementation

Kazakhstan and Russia continue to develop long-term mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector, which remains a key area of strategic partnership, Kazinform reports citing the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The cooperation covers a wide range of fuel and energy industries, including exploration and production, electric power, and resource transportation. Today, the work of specialized agencies is built on a solid foundation of mutual agreements: joint projects demonstrate sustainable practical implementation, and all operational processes are resolved constructively and efficiently.

Special attention is paid to issues of energy security, the stable functioning of national energy systems, and improving the efficiency of transport and logistics corridors.

«In the oil sector, export routes continue to operate smoothly and without interruption. In particular, the use of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) infrastructure remains a top priority, as it continues to play an important role in ensuring reliable supplies of Kazakh raw materials to external markets. In the gas industry, cooperation is expanding in hydrocarbon processing and regional transit of natural gas. This dialogue contributes to strengthening the region’s energy connectivity and improving the reliability of consumer supply», the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan noted.

Parallel operation of national power grids also proves effective. In the electricity sector, cooperation between dispatch centers is constantly being enhanced to maintain a unified balance, exchange electricity, and ensure mutual reliability of energy supply.

As emphasized by the Ministry, the energy partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia objectively remains a fundamental factor of regional stability and contributes to the confident macroeconomic development of both countries.
