Putin to Visit Kazakhstan on a State Visit May 27-29

The heads of state will discuss prospects for allied relations between Kazakhstan and Russia

At the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart TOKAYEV, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir PUTIN will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan on May 27-29, Kazinform reports citing Akorda.

During the talks, the heads of state will discuss the current state and prospects for strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and allied relations between Kazakhstan and Russia.

On May 28, with the participation of the heads of state – members of the Eurasian Economic Union – the Eurasian Economic Forum will be held.

On May 29, a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will take place.

Earlier, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of the Russian President’s planned state visit to Kazakhstan at the end of May for strengthening the strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries.

Vladimir Putin agreed with this assessment of the upcoming talks in Astana and noted the steady nature of bilateral cooperation in all strategically important sectors.

Putin’s previous state visit to Kazakhstan took place in November 2024.
