Belgian club Genk has officially confirmed the signing of a first professional contract with 17-year-old Kazakh forward Shakhmurat DAULETOV, Sports.kz reports.
The club’s academy announced the deal on its Instagram account, publishing a photo of the player holding a Genk jersey.
“Hard work pays off! Shakhmurat Dauletov has signed his first professional contract with Genk,” the statement said.
Representatives of the Belgian club also noted that the Kazakh player joined the academy two years ago and has now committed his future to the team until the summer of 2029. Dauletov will continue his development with Jong Genk, the club’s youth side.
It is worth recalling that Shakhmurat joined Genk’s system in 2024. Recently, he was given the opportunity to play for the first team in a friendly match against Dutch side Fortuna Sittard, which ended in a 2-1 defeat for the Belgians. The Kazakh forward came on in the 87th minute.
Genk are four-time champions of Belgium.
