Ordabasy Clinches Second Kazakhstan Football Championship Title

Ordabasy will also play in the Kazakhstan Cup final

Shymkent-based football club Ordabasy secured the Kazakhstan Premier League (KPL) title with one round of the season remaining.

The team, coached by Moldovan manager Andrei MARTIN, collected 68 points from 29 matches. On Sunday, Ordabasy became unreachable for Kairat in the standings. The Almaty side drew 2-2 away to Aktobe and moved to 64 points.

As a result, Ordabasy won the Kazakhstan championship for the second time in its history. The club’s first league title came in 2023. After that, Kairat claimed the trophy twice.

This season, Ordabasy will also compete in the final of the Kazakhstan Cup. The decisive match against Kyzylorda-based Kaisar will take place on November 7 at Turkistan Arena.

Kairat will finish the KPL season in second place. Astana and Kokshetau’s Okzhetpes remain in contention for the bronze medals.
