Kazakhstan May Check Enrique Iglesias Show for Compliance with Traditions

The Ministry of Culture emphasized the importance of adhering to ethical norms and laws at concerts

Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture has announced a possible review of Spanish singer Enrique IGLESIAS’S show to ensure compliance with national legislation and cultural traditions. The reason cited was episodes during concerts where the artist kisses female fans on stage, which raised concerns among officials, ZTB reports.

Vice Minister of Culture Kanat ISKAKOV noted that the ministry will monitor compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements during performances. According to him, no actions should take place on stage that contradict local cultural and moral norms.

The official also admitted that he does not personally follow the singer’s work, but emphasized that concerts must be held with consideration not only for legal requirements but also for societal moral standards.
