Kazakhstan and Mongolia to Resume Direct Flights Between Their Capitals

Cultural and humanitarian ties are strengthening the friendship between the two nations

This became known following expanded talks between the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart TOKAYEV, and the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin KHURELSUKH, who arrived in the country on a state visit, Kazinform reports.

“Today, a Kazakh-Mongolian business forum will be held in our capital. Many companies from Mongolia will take part in it, and we fully support this. I would like to express my gratitude for your support. Cultural and humanitarian ties have a positive impact on strengthening the friendship between our two nations. We have agreed to resume direct air service between Astana and Ulaanbaatar. We also have many achievements in the fields of education, culture, and tourism. We are always open to Mongolian youth who wish to receive education in Kazakhstan,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The Head of State also noted the recent Asian Boxing Championships held in Mongolia.

“We thank you for the hospitality shown to Kazakh athletes during this major competition. The tournament was organized at a high level. As you know, Kazakh boxers took first place in the overall team standings. I would like to emphasize that multifaceted cooperation between our countries is developing year by year. I am confident that the outcomes of your visit today will give new impetus to our interaction,” said the President.
