New state agency will report directly to the President

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart TOKAYEV met with Deputy Chair of the Security Council Aida BALAEVA and outlined several priority tasks, reports BAQ.KZ citing Akorda.

One of the key directives is the creation of the Office of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The new state body will be directly subordinate and accountable to the President. Its mandate will cover issues of national security, legality, and public order.

Earlier, Tokayev signed a decree appointing Aida Balaeva as Deputy Chair of the Security Council. At the same time, Gizat NURDAULETOV was relieved of his duties as Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan.
