From September 2025 to June 2026, Kazakhstan exported up to 13.1 million tons of grain and flour in grain equivalent, reports 24.kz citing the Ministry of Agriculture. This is 13% higher than the same period of the previous season, when 11.6 million tons were shipped abroad.
“The main drivers of growth were traditional importing countries in the Central Asian region and Afghanistan. Thus, exports to Uzbekistan rose by 38% – from 3.9 million tons to 5.5 million tons; to Kyrgyzstan by 1.4 times – from 357,000 tons to 504,000 tons; to Afghanistan by 59% – from 1.4 million tons to 2.2 million tons; and to Turkmenistan by 37% – from 150,000 tons to 205,000 tons,” the statement reads.
It is noted that positive freight statistics confirm the high demand for Kazakh agricultural products and the stable operation of southern logistics corridors, as well as demonstrate the effectiveness of measures taken to develop export logistics and expand trade and economic cooperation with foreign partners.
