Wildberries to Build Warehouses in Kazakhstan

First logistics centers planned to open in Q1 2027

Wildberries is constructing about 260,000 square meters of new warehouses in Kazakhstan, according to Trade Minister Arman SHAKKALIEV. The first logistics centers are expected to open in the first quarter of 2027.

He stated that in Almaty, the company is building a warehouse of about 160,000 sq. m., while another 100,000 sq. m. is under construction in Astana. In addition, Wildberries is already using around 46,000 sq. m. of rented warehouse space.

The active expansion of logistics in Kazakhstan comes amid drone attacks on Wildberries warehouses in Russia. Earlier reports indicated that due to damage to Russian logistics centers, the company began seeking additional warehouse space in Kazakhstan and redistributing goods to reduce risks and avoid supply disruptions.

It should be noted that the consequences of the attacks also affected Kazakh entrepreneurs. Preliminary losses for sellers were estimated at more than 1 billion tenge.
