Body of a Presumed Kazakh Citizen Found in the U.S.

Earlier it was reported that a Kazakh citizen had gone missing in Chicago

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan received information from U.S. authorities about the discovery of a body, presumably that of a Kazakh citizen, Kazinform reports.

This was announced at a briefing by the official representative of the MFA of Kazakhstan, Yerlan ZHETYBAYEV.

According to him, the American side is currently carrying out the necessary procedures to establish the identity and clarify all circumstances.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan received information from U.S. authorities about the discovery of a body, presumably that of a Kazakh citizen. At present, the American side is conducting the necessary procedures. Our diplomats are maintaining contact with U.S. authorities and the relatives of the citizen. They are being provided with the necessary consular and legal assistance,” he said.

He added that additional information will be provided as official data from the American side becomes available.

Earlier, the MFA of Kazakhstan reported the disappearance of Kazakh citizen Aset KURALBAY in Chicago. The Consulate General of Kazakhstan in New York is in contact with the relatives of the missing person, and the situation remains under the control of the foreign ministry.
