Astana Announces Lineup for Tour de France

The team will include eight riders

Kazakhstan’s XDS Astana Team has announced its roster for one of the world’s premier cycling events – the grand multi-stage race, the Tour de France, which will take place from July 4 to 26, reports Kazinform.

The team’s lineup features eight riders: Davide BALLERINI, Aaron GATE, Sergio HIGUITA, Max KANTER, Harold TEJADA, Mike TEUNISSEN, Simone VELASCO, and Nicolas VINOKOUROV.

The 113th edition of the legendary race will kick off on July 4 in Barcelona, Spain. Participants will cover 3,321.2 km across Spain and France. The route will run clockwise through the Pyrenees, the Massif Central, the Vosges, the Jura, and the Alps, finishing with the traditional finale in Paris on July 26.

As in last year, the final stage will once again pass through Montmartre – the highest point in the French capital – before riders finish on the Champs-Élysées.

Starting with race number one will be the reigning Tour de France 2025 champion, Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar of UAE Team Emirates XRG.

In total, 23 teams and 184 riders will compete in the world’s most prestigious multi-stage cycling race, battling for the iconic yellow leader’s jersey.
